Day 1: LIMA Reception at Lima airport, transfer to the hotel. You will have the rest of the day to relax and explore the city. Night at your hotel. Day 2: LIMA – CHICLAYO (B,L) After breakfast we'll pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Chiclayo (airfare not included). Arrival and reception at Chiclayo airport, transfer to the selected hotel, the tour starts after you take a rest in your hotel visiting the highlights of Chiclayo: the tomb of the Lord of Sipan (the richest tomb discovered in the Americas), the Valley of the 26 pyramids of Tucume and The National Museum Royal Tombs of Sipan. Lunch included at typical restaurant. Night at your hotel. Day 3: TRUJILLO (B, L) That day early morning you will depart to Trujillo in a private car. On the way you'll see some beautiful landscapes and visit the San Jose de Moro site museum. Then stop for lunch at Pacasmayo after arrival at Trujillo, we'll transfer you to Sun and Moon temples. Night at your hotel in Trujillo. Day 4: TRUJILLO – LIMA (B) After breakfast a full day tour that includes visit to the colonial city of Trujillo, the amazing adobe city of Chan Chan (Capital of the Chimu empire) and Huanchaco beach where fishermen still surf in Totora reed boat as their ancestors did. Lunch included. At an appropriate hour transfer to the airport to take the back flight to Lima (airfare not included). Upon arrival reception and transfer to the hotel - Night at your hotel in Lima. Day 5: PUERTO MALDONADO (B,L,D) After breakfast transfer to the airport where we'll take the flight to Puerto Maldonado (airfare not included) Reception and welcome, transfer to the WASAÍ Maldonado Lodge, where you will receive a welcome tropical fruit beverage. You will board a boat and sail for a 4 hour trip up the Tambopata River to WASAI Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (box lunch on board). During the trip into the heart of the rain forest we'll be able to observe clouds of butterflies, typical Amazon communities. Reception and accommodation at Wasai lodge. Introductory walk to understand the rainforest ecosystems and see some of the amazing trees. Return to the lodge for dinner. We will enjoy diverse sounds of the jungle which will accompany through our first night in the Amazon. Night in the lodge. Day 6 :MACAW CLAY LICK "COLLPA" (B,L,D) Early wake up (4.30 am) and travel up the Tambopata River for an hour to the Bahuaja - Sonene National Park. You will see a magical sunrise and it will be a great opportunity to see animals such as capybaras, tapir, Jaguar, and deers in the surrounding virgin forest. We will observe one of the greatest spectacles of the rainforest: Hundreds of parrots, parakeets and macaws of various species, enjoying their diet of mineral salts on a river bank. We'll return to the lodge to have a late breakfast. Then have an Ethno botanical trekking through one of the trails. We will enter the territory of peccaries, deers, and others, with the possibility to hear or see their tracks, or discovering a troop of monkeys travelling through the forest in search of food. Lunch In the afternoon we will be able to enjoy a relaxing swim in the "Cascade of the Cat". After dinner we can make another trip through the jungle or search for caimans. Night in the lodge. Day 7: PUERTO MALDONADO – CUSCO (B) After breakfast we'll transfer you to the airport to board the flight to Cusco (airfare not included). As soon as you arrive in Cusco, our staff will welcome and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to acclimatize and relax. Night at your hotel in Cusco. Day 8: CITY TOUR IN THE AFTERNOON (B) You will have a free morning to acclimatize and enjoy the city, by the afternoon you'll start a guided city tour visiting the most important places of Cusco. This tour starts at 14:00hrs. and you'll visit the following sites: Cathedral, the Temple of Qoricancha, and the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. This tour will let you learn about the Inca culture as well as some aspects of the conquest of the Inca’s Empire and the colony. The tour will end around 18:00hrs. Night at your hotel. Day 9: CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY (B) Early in the morning after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel in order to begin a guided tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our guide will explain you all about the archeological sites during the trip; you will visit in this tour the Pisac remains and the Indian market of the same name. After lunch, (this lunch is not included), you'll visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo and finally the incredible Inca remains in Chinchero. You will be back in Cusco at around 7:00p.m. Overnight in Cusco. Day 10: MACHU PICCHU TOUR – OVERNIGHT (B,L) Our transfer will pick you up from your hotel at 6:15 a.m. in order to take your train towards Aguas Calientes town. As soon as you arrive in Aguas Calientes at 10:50a.m we will take you to your hotel for the check-in and pick up your box lunch. Immediately after you will board a bus to Machu Picchu city where your guide will give you a 2 hours guided tour walking through the ruins explaining all about the culture, the buildings and the life-style of the Incas. After your tour you will then have free time to explore the ruins at your leisure and then come back to Aguas Calientes when you decide. Once in Aguas Calientes town you can enjoy the hot springs. (The entrees to the hot springs is not included). Night at your hotel in Aguas Calientes. Day 11: Aguas Calientes - Cusco (B) This morning is free for you to visit the hot springs, explore the surroundings of Agua Calientes or shop at the local markets. Alternatively you may wish to revisit Machu Picchu, although only one entrance ticket and return bus ticket is included in the tour price. Upon arrival to the Ollantaytambo train station, transfer to your hotel in Cusco will be provided. Night at your hotel. Day 12: TRASFER OUT (B) Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Lima (airfare not included). INCLUDED: All hotel and lodge accommodations based on double or single occupancy.
