DAY 1: CUSCO / CITY TOUR
Upon arrival in Cusco city. Reception at the airport and transfer to your selected hotel where you will have spare time for acclimatization and to avoid altitude sickness. In the afternoon we’ll start visiting the most important places of the city (city tour). As the first site to visit is the Koricancha Temple, the Main Square and the Cathedral, then continue by bus to visit the nearest archaeological sites of Cusco: The Sacsaywaman temple, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and finally Tambomachay. Return to your hotel and enjoy a free evening.
DAY 2: CUSCO / 82 KM / HUAYLLABAMBA
During the morning we will pick you up from your hotel, then head to Ollantaytambo village in a private bus where we’ll stop for breakfast or to buy last minute things you may forgotten to buy in Cusco city, then we’ll continue our trip towards Chilca (Km 82.) to begin hiking from 6 to 7 hours, until arriving to the Andean village of Huayllabamba. Where we’ll spend the night, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: HUAYLLABAMBA / PACAYMAYO
After breakfast we’ll begin our most difficult day in the inca trail, we will pass through the highest mountain on the tour which is the WARMIHUAÑUSCA pass (4200 masl) where we will have a beautiful view of the landscape. This day we will be surrounded by snow covered mountains and valleys, in the afternoon we’ll arrive at Pacaymayo, dinner and camp for the night.
DAY 4: PACAYMAYO / WIÑAYHUAYNA
This day is considered the most beautiful day because you will visit many archeological sites like Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca and Wiñaywayna. Explained in detail by the guide, in the afternoon you will arrive to the last campsite Wiñaywayna, dinner and camp for the night.
DAY 5: WIÑAYHUAYNA / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
Early morning we’ll leave Wiñaywayna campsite and head for Machu Picchu through the Inti Punku, where we will appreciate the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu which is just an hour from the last campsite. Enter the Citadel and pass for the check point after this we’ll start the tour through the Machupicchu citadel, then you’ll have some time to explore for yourself and finally we will board the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where we will board the train that will take us back to Cusco.
DAY 6: CUSCO
After breakfast and on a previously accorded time we will transfer you to the airport or bus station.
