This magnificent and demanding trek around the majestic white peak Ausangate the highest of the Vilcanota mountain range is develop in a spectacular and diverse landscape its geography, geology, erosions, defreezing white peaks, fauna, flora as well as picturesque customs of the local andean inhabitants can be seen and enjoyed during this journey through the peruvian handycrafts capital, Ausangate. Tour Length : 07 Days / 06 Nights Group size: MINIMUM 04 people – MAXIMUM 16 people Departures: Everyday, all year round. ITINERARY Day 1: CUSCO / OCONGATE / TINQUI On the first expedition day we'll begin the trip in a bus picking you up at 06:00 am. Heading to Tinki village passing by other picturesque villages along the Huatanay river valley, with cultivated lands and wonderful extensions we'll camp close to Tinki. (Lunch, snack and dinner). Day 2: TINQUI / UPIS After breakfast we'll start hiking heading towards the base of the majestic white peak Ausangate (6372m) appreciating high-andean villagers customs and also enjoying the presence of great quantities of Llamas, Alpacas and Pacos. We'll also visit the small village of Upis (4140m) afterwards we'll be heading to the thermal springs, where we will camp close to the white peak (breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner). Day 3: UPIS / LAKE PUCACOCHA After breakfast we'll climb through the Arapa Pass (4700m) for then to descend towards the Paucarcocha lagoon known by the names Jatun Pucacocha, Vinacocha and Huchuy Punacocha, where we will not only have magnificent landscapes but also can appreciate a wide variety of andean birds. We'll camp on the shores of a close by lagoon (4575m). (breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner). Day 4: PUCACOCHA LAGOONS – PALOMANI PASS – CHILCAPINAYA This day we'll appreciate Ausangate white peak's defreezing. Climbing the Alcatani Pass (4650m) continuing the trail descending to the Ausangatecocha lagoon, then to climb to the Palomani Pass (5050m) where we will have views of particular beauty afterwards we will descend to Chilcapinaya where we will camp. (breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner). Day 5: CHILCAPINAYA / VALLE DE JAMPA – PACHASPATA We'll journey along the Jampa valley where we will be able to meet with local andean villagers with their typical dresses as well as with several packs of Alpacas, Llamas and lambs then we will climb to the last mountain pass of (4600 m.a.s.l.) then we will observe the beautiful Ticllacocha lagoon, the Pachaspata flats then to camp at the Qomercancha lagoon shore. (Breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner). Day 6: QOMERCOCHA LAGOON / PACCHANTA Acompanied by magnificent high andean landscapes we'll descend towards the Pacchanta village, and then arrive to the thermal springs that will be the best reward for those whom are willing to refresh and relax, with a wonderful view of the majestic Ausangate we'll camp close to the village. (Breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner) Day 7: PACCHANTA / TINQUI / CUSCO After a brief hike in the middle of the typical andean landscape we'll arrive at Tinqui (Tinki), where we'll board the transportation to Cusco. (Breakfast and Lunch).
